Top 10 Baseball Distractions

8. Nuclear Cowboyz (Friday-Saturday 1st Mariner Arena)

I’m not really sure what it is that the Nuclear Cowboyz do, but I think it’s something with motorcycles. I should probably read up on it before discussing further, but I’m not going to.

Who do you think I am? A good writer like Kevin Van Valkenburg?

And while I don’t know much about the Nuclear Cowboyz, I do know I thing or two about Mo Thugs Family’s “Ghetto Cowboy”. I dare you to come up with a more obscure reference in the next ten minutes.

7. Golf: PGA Tour Sony Open in Hawaii (Thursday-Sunday 7pm from Honolulu live on Golf Channel)

Steve Stricker won the first golf tournament of the year last week. I tell you that because there’s zero chance you would have known otherwise.

The biggest story of golf so far in 2012 is the Elin Nordegren’s decision to knock down a $12 million mansion she shared with a fella named Tiger Woods you may have heard of.

If you think this is an excuse for me to post a video of various building implosions (specifically in Vegas), you’re right!

6. NBA: Toronto Raptors @ Washington Wizards (Tuesday 7pm from Verizon Center live on Comcast SportsNet), Washington Wizards @ Chicago Bulls (Wednesday 8pm from Chicago live on Comcast SportsNet), Washington Wizards @ Philadelphia 76ers (Friday 7pm from Philly live on Comcast SportsNet), Philadelphia 76ers @ Washington Wizards (Saturday 7pm from Verizon Center live on Comcast SportsNet), Houston Rockets @ Washington Wizards (Monday 2pm from Verizon Center live on Comcast SportsNet)

Someone over at Bleacher Report recently had the difficult task of attempting to name the “hottest cheerleader” from EVERY NBA team. I mean, I believe in working hard-but even that’s a bit much to ask of me.

Anyway, the writer chose “Tara” from the ‘Zards dance team. I’m not a fan of anything DC, but perhaps I could learn to be?

5. NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins @ Washington Capitals (Wednesday 7:30pm from Verizon Center live on NBC Sports Network), Tampa Bay Lightning @ Washington Capitals (Friday 7pm from Verizon Center live on NHL Network/Comcast SportsNet), Carolina Hurricanes @ Washington Capitals (Sunday 5pm from Verizon Center live on Comcast SportsNet)

Apparently the Caps have struggled on the West Coast this week. I couldn’t be happier about it either.

Jack Johnson scored a goal for the Los Angeles Kings Monday night, then proceeded to celebrate in a familiar manner…

I was actually Tebowing at home myself at the exact same moment.
