NBA Finals: Selfless Spurs In Seven

June 03, 2014 | James Revere

As I’ve paid attention to the NBA more and more, I’ve learned quite a lot during these playoffs. One certainly can’t ignore the extreme love affair that ESPN has for Lebron. It gets to a point with their coverage that you would think it’s an old feed of when Brett Favre was deciding on whether [...]

Public Offender Number One

June 01, 2014 | James Revere

We sit here about a third of the way through this season. To say that our beloved birds have been a little disappointing is an understatement. The proof is in one of the newest shirts depicting an inebriated bird with a tag line stating,”This team makes me drink”. Now we can dissect the pitching statistics [...]

Will Lightning Strike Three Times for The Orioles?

May 26, 2014 | James Revere

The old adage goes lightning doesn’t strike the same place twice. Unless you’re a lightning rod, or wearing metallic underwear this seems to hold true. Luckily this doesn’t apply in sports. The best example of this rarity occurring is the left handed closer. Not many truly stand out. There were the days of Mitch Williams [...]

Most Valuable Unknown Player

May 24, 2014 | James Revere

We all have some short comings in life. Myself, I’ll admit, I am still very much a novice when it comes to basketball. The most I knew about the game was what I saw on NBA Jam. I am really starting to enjoy the technical side of the game. Watching the point guards systematically work [...]

There truly is no escaping the judicial system. That statement has been true to me since I first learned right and wrong from my mom and dad. As I’ve grown up over these past years, I’ve come to notice something rather grandiose. If you’re an owner of a sports franchise, the bell doesn’t seem to [...]

James Revere

Being born abroad, James Revere had to wait a while before he was thrust into the fanaticism that is Baltimore sports. It was a warm August day in 1990 that first brought his entire family to Memorial Stadium. Upon the first chant of "Mooooooose", as Randy Milligan came to the plate, James knew he had truly found his calling. For the next 24 years, no matter what life would through his way, sports were the only true constant in James's life. Today, you can find James following both flocks of birds (Ravens and Orioles), studying baby reptiles (The Terps), practicing magic (The Wizards), and trying on hats (The Caps). Be it statistically, philosophically, or historically, he's always on the quest for more knowledge and pride about his home teams. Once he gets his degree from Towson University's Mass Communication program, James has his eyes set on dedicating his time to providing in depth coverage of all the teams, to all the folks of Charm City, and of Maryland.
