Roy attended West Virginia University where he studied Communication, History, and Sports Psychology. While at WVU he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon and held various officer roles. It was here he was first introduced to audio tech work as he served as DJ for multiple bars and clubs. This is where he met his Baltimore wife. Roy married into the Baltimore of Baltimore families. His in-laws own the Dundalk Eagle Newspaper, have a stable at Pimlico (father in-law trains racehorses), and they even have a dog named Boh. Roy Has coached basketball and baseball at the highschool level and has hosted radio shows in New York, Maryland and West Virginia. He has had showcased shows on WTRI and WFAS and was the headline sports talk show on both stations. He has covered the Washington Capitals, Maryland Terrapins, West Virginia Mountaineers, and Loyola Lacrosse as a beat writer and covers multiple events such as the Sweet 16, Elite 8, PGA Championship, and BB&T Classic on a yearly basis.
