The Kings and I, a sports lovestory

June 07, 2014 | Tony Wisniewski

Once upon a time, I met a girl who didn’t understand a lick about football. Or baseball. Or basketball.  Or golf.  Or fantasy football.  Or beer.  Or funny movies. Tony Wisniewski, also known as TonyWiz or T-Dub, joined the WNST staff after winning the 2014 of Baltimore Sports Media Superstar competition. He was born into a true-blue Dundalk family of O's and Ravens fans, hon. He spent his youth throwing pennies into the fountain at Eastpoint Mall, wishing for the Orioles to be relevant in September and October. With no local football to occupy his time, Tony became the youngest of all his friends to play fantasy football. He nearly dropped out of 5th grade to pursue fantasy sports management, but reconsidered due to his incredible dominance of recess-kickball. Tony earned a bachelor's in Communications from Towson University where he is still remembered by approximately 11 people for writing a column entitled "Keg Tapper" and running a contest called "Campus Vixen." His past experience includes stops at The Baltimore Sun,, Axcess Magazine, and various other local and national media outlets. He has a Master's in Education and one of his greatest accomplishments to-date was convincing his lovely wife that purple and orange were wonderful colors for wedding season.
