By the Numbers:

Baltimore Blast: 11-3 after win against Syracuse

St. Louis Ambush: 4-11 after loss against Milwaukee

Mike Lookingland leads the Blast players with 31 points making him tied for 9th in the league. Max Ferdinand (20) is 13th in the league while Tony Donatelli (29), Adauto Neto (25), Marco Mangione (24), and Lucas Roque (23) also sit among league leaders.

 

1/31 Knights Game Recap:

The Baltimore Blast defeated the Syracuse Knights 12-10 with a goal in the final minutes by Max Ferdinand. The Blast were led by MISL Player of the Week William Vanzela who had 26 saves, securing a playoff spot for the Blast. Vanzela was named to the MISL Team of the week for the second consecutive week and 5th time this season. Ferdinand was also given Team of the Week Honors for his performance against the Silver Knights.

 

Defense Wins Games:

To compliment the high scoring offense of the Blast, the defense is led by Mike Lookingland and Pat Healey who have been able to help shut down opponents. Lookingland is third in the league with 27 blocks and Healey is close behind in fifth with 23. Behind the defense, Blast goalkeeper William Vanzela is 8-3 on the year. He is first in the league in points against average (5.32) and save percentage (.848).

 

The Competition:

The Baltimore Blast take on St. Louis for the second time this season. St. Louis is coming into the game having lost their last five games.  St. Louis, 3-4 at home, are looking to improve their home record to .500. The Ambush are led offensively by Odaine Sinclair who has totaled 10 goals and 29 points this season.  St. Louis is coached by Daryl Doran and Jeff DiMaria.
