Baltimore Blast: 10-3 after win against Rochester

Syracuse Silver Knights: 9-5 after win against Pennsylvania

Tony Donatelli leads the Blast players with 29 points making him tied for 9th in the league. Mike Lookingland (28) is tied for 11th in the league while Max Ferdinand (27), Aduato Neto (25), Marco Mangione (22), and Lucas Roque (21) also sit among league leaders.


1/25 Lancers Game Recap:

The Baltimore Blast defeated the Rochester Lancers last weekend by a score of 17-2. The Blast were led by MISL Player of the Week William Vanzela who had 12 saves and only allowed one goal on Saturday night. Also receiving team of the week honors Aduato Neto scored two goals against the Lancers including a three-pointer.


Defense Wins Games:

Mike Lookingland and Pat Healey have been able to help the Blast defense shut down opponents all season. Lookingland is second in the league with 25 blocks and Healey is close behind in fifth with 22. The Blast lead in league in points against with only 59 on the season. Behind the defense Blast goalkeeper William Vanzela is 7-3 on the year. He is first in the league in points against average (4.84) and first in the league in save percentage (.844).



The Competition:

The Baltimore Blast take on Syracuse for the third time this season with the series at 1-1. The Knights are led by Kenardo Forbes who has 51 points this season including a goal in the previous matchup against the Blast. The Knight’s goalie Brian O’Quinn looks to get his 9th win of the season and comes into the matchup with a .784 save percentage. The Knights are coached by Tommy Tanner.
