Top 10 Baseball Distractions

8. Auto Racing: NASCAR Chase For The Sprint Cup AAA Texas 500 (Sunday 2pm from Fort Worth, TX live on ESPN)

Obviously no one remotely cares about anything going on in the world of NASCAR, but NASCAR people and non-NASCAR people alike will agree that this picture of soldiers guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier during Hurricane Sandy is the greatest photo ever taken…

(Editor’s note: I have been informed by multiple people that this picture is actually from months ago. I’m leaving it anyway because it’s the greatest picture I’ve ever seen.)

7. Pro Wrestling: WWE ’13 available for XBox360/PlayStation3 (Tuesday)

I just wonder if they had enough time to squeeze the most important superstar into the game…

As you know, his finishing move is “The 410″. Of course, he would be nothing without the training he received from the great “Carne Cabeza” on his way to stardom…

6. Exhibition College Basketball: Indiana (Pennsylvania) @ Maryland (Friday 7pm from Comcast Center live on UMTerps.com); Bloomsburg @ Towson (Thursday 7pm from Towson Center live on TowsonTigers.com); Seton Hill @ Loyola (Monday 7:30pm Reitz Arena)

Or after losing four starting quarterbacks, this is a VERY welcome sign in College Park. Also, we found out who’s handling the broadcast for Maryland-Kentucky next week…

It reminds me of an awful joke Drew Forrester has told like 3 or 4 million times in recent years. It’s about Dick Clark. Ask him if you get the chance.

5. NBA: Washington Wizards @ Cleveland Cavaliers (Tuesday 7pm from Cleveland live on Comcast SportsNet), Boston Celtics @ Washington Wizards (Saturday 7pm from Verizon Center live on Comcast SportsNet)

Sadly for our friends in the south, it’s basketball season again for the ‘Zards. Clearly understanding that playing in DC won’t do much for his resume, Emeka Okafor is working on some other opportunities…
