It’s time to honor some local sports “saints” with our #WNSTSweet16

4. Joe Ehrmann

Few athletes have touched out community more than the former Colts Pro Bowler. The man was once named “Renaissance Person of the Decade” by the Baltimore Business Journal for his tireless work to improve our community.

Joe Ehrmann didn’t reach quite the same heights on the field as many of the athletes who made our list. It perhaps makes his charitable fame all the more significant.

    I seem to recall when he was inducted into the Ravens Ring of Honor that Michael McCrary was mentioned as one of the most significant charitable athletes in Baltimore sports history.
