2. Jacoby Jones catches a prayer in Denver in the 2012 Divisional Round

The Ravens were embarrassed by the Broncos in Baltimore less than a month earlier but arrived in Denver ready to play in what would go down as one of the greatest games in NFL playoff history.

Looking like the Ravens were going to fall agonizingly short in trailing 35-28 with less than a minute remaining and at their own 30-yard line, quarterback Joe Flacco avoided pressure and stepped up in the pocket to throw a 55-yard rainbow over the reach of Broncos safety Rahim Moore and into the waiting arms of Jacoby Jones. The speedy receiver sprinted the remaining 20 yards for the game-tying 70-yard touchdown with 31 seconds remaining to force overtime.

The teams would go on to a second overtime period before rookie Justin Tucker booted a 47-yard field goal to send the Ravens to their second straight AFC Championship game, but it was Flacco’s miraculous throw to Jones that lands on the list as the No. 2 local sports playoff moment. And while still fresh in our minds, the 70-yard touchdown is likely to hold up as the most shocking moment in the history of Baltimore sports.

    Luke, I was a toddler in 1958/59 but those games Were on our TV at that time. Every other event on your list I have witnessed , quite a few in person. Great Job . Thanks for the memories
