It’s time…

Yep, it’s time…

For Miggy to sit a game.  Or two.  And if he pouts, make it three.  Take a seat, Mig. Let’s see if you’ll start running hard down to first with that streak no longer an issue.

It’s time…

To start making phone calls about Danys Baez.  Just ain’t happenin’ here, D.B. – sorry.  Get a minor league pitching prospect and see if we can’t steal someone’s Jeremy Guthrie (again).  Even if you have to pay some of Baez’s salary, find a taker.

It’s time…

For someone, ANYONE, to call out these players for their lackluster play over the last week.  Did that Sunday debacle in Boston really take that much out of them?  Seriously?  It’s a 162-game season, guys.  You’ll win one like that in a week or two…scoring three or four runs in the bottom of the 9th.  Why don’t you guys “man-up” a little bit and start looking interested again?  Someone…Perlozzo, Flanagan, Duquette, Angelos…ANYONE…be heard!

It’s time…

To start seriously considering what you’re going to do with the managerial position.  If these cats continue to limp through the season without any real fire or passion, you can either fire the 15 guys who are only half-trying right now or you can dismiss the manager.  So who comes in if Perlozzo gets the axe?  Start trying to figure that out now so you don’t have a cluster-you-know-what on your hands if you decide to make a sudden change.

It’s time…

That I write John Angelos a letter…a real “heart on the sleeve” effort…and try to make him see what everyone else in town has been seeing for the last half-dozen years.  So I’ll do that – tomorrow – right here at www.wnst.net.
