Home cooking prevailed and Ramon Hernandez was awarded a hit and 2 RBI’s by official scorekeeper Mark Jacobson, who must have been taking a whiz when the play actually occurred in short left field.
I’ve seen some questionable hit/error calls here at OPACY this year, but this one is by far the worst of ‘em all.
This just in: Jacobson has changed the error on Bill Buckner in Game 6 of the ’86 World Series to a hit…Somewhere, Mookie Wilson is VERY happy to hear that.
