Live from Camden Yards: Jo-Jo Reyes makes second start for O’s as they look to avoid sweep against Tigers

**Join us in our Orange Crush chat today at 1:30 PM (weather permitting) as the O’s take on the Tigers at Camden Yards.

BALTIMORE – Jo-Jo Reyes makes his second start as an Oriole Sunday as the O’s look to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Detroit Tigers.

The O’s have still yet to win a series since June 24th-26th, and there is nothing they can do about that streak today. Rather, all they can do is salvage a win in this three game series against the Tigers.

After some threatening weather earlier this afternoon, the tarp has been pulled and the field is being attended to, so it looks like the Orioles will at least attempt to get this game in.

Taking the mound for the Tigers will be Doug Fister, acquired in a pre-deadline trade from the Seattle Mariners. Fister sports an ugly 4-12 mark, but his 3.37 ERA and 1.18 WHIP proves that he has been an above-average pitcher thus far in 2012.

With Fister’s good production this season along with Jo-Jo Reyes taking the mound today against a very good Tigers lineup, as an O’s fan let’s just say I’m expecting to witness the conclusion of a three-game sweep here in Birdland.

But alas, that’s why they play the games..
