The Orioles consider top prospects in P Dylan Bundy and SS Manny Machado as part of their future success, and now they are going to be recognized on a national stage with that distinction.

Both were selected to participate in the 2012 Futures All-Star Game in Kansas City-played annually every year before the MLB All-Star Game.

Machado, the Orioles’ 2010 first-round pick out of Brito High School, is currently playing in the Orioles Double-A affiliate, the Bowie Baysox. He currently is hitting .241 with three home runs, 24 RBIs, and nine stolen bases.

Bundy-the top pick in 2011 lighting up the minor leagues with his plus-fastball-was 1-0 with Single-A Delmarva before his promotion to the Frederick Keys. In 30 innings of work, Bundy struck out 40 opposing hitters while only walking two.

Bundy is still adjusting to the promotion once he made the trip to Frederick. In four starts, he is 2-2 with a 4.34 ERA with 23 strikeouts in 18 innings pitched.

The game will be aired July 10th at 5PM.
