The Orioles signed right-handed pitcher Juan Morillo to a minor-league deal on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.

The 30-year-old pitched most recently in Taiwan and made nine major league appearances from 2006 through 2009 with Colorado and Minnesota, posting a 13.50 earned run average in 10 2/3 innings. He will report to the Orioles’ minor league camp at Twin Lakes Park.

Despite possessing fastball velocity in the high 90s, Morillo has dealt with control issues that have contributed to him playing in Taiwan, Mexico, and Japan in recent years.
