Forecasting another dismal September where the team is an afterthought both in the pennant race and in their soon-to-be-football-crazed city, the Orioles have made an effort to entice fans to the ballpark next month by offering $1.00 tickets to all 16 home games.
Regardless of why they’re doing it, it’s yet another good marketing concept by the baseball team. They’re had their fair share of those this year, in fact.
Unfortunately, that’s all I can tell you about the promotion because the team’s Communications Director said to me, last March, “we’d honestly prefer that WNST not mention the Orioles anymore…”
So, in this case, I won’t.
