May 06, 2009 | Glenn Clark

According to The Sun’s Jamison Hensley, the Ravens will be trying out 4 veteran WR’s this weekend. Do any of these men sound like “the answer” to the Ravens’ biggest area of need in your mind?

Former Raider/Jaguar Jerry Porter

30 years old; 6’2″, 220 pounds
Career: 295 catches, 4,120 yards, 31 TD’s
2008: 11 catches, 181 yards, 1 TD

Former Bengal/Patriot Kelley Washington

29 years old, 6’3″, 215 pounds
Career: 73 catches, 896 yards, 9 TD’s
2008: 1 catch, 3 yards

Former Seahawk/Panther D.J. Hackett

27 years old, 6’2″, 208 pounds
Career: 118 catches, 1,575 yards, 9 TD’s
2008: 13 catches, 181 yards

Former Bengal/Dolphin (technically) Tab Perry

27 years old, 6’3″, 215 pounds
Career: 10 catches, 109 yards, 1 TD
2008: DNP (torn achilles)

They’re all tall; Porter has shown flashes of being able to play in the past. It’s nothing more than a flier, and the Ravens can certainly use all the help they can get at the position; as Derrick Mason can’t line up at every receiver position on the field. Or can he?
