It’s not very often you get to go to Pittsburgh with a swagger.
But the Ravens will have one on Monday night.
Do you want to miss that?
I don’t.
And, I won’t.
Last year, the Ravens limped into Heinz Field with a depleted secondary and got shellacked on national TV.
It’s going to be different this Monday, for sure.
Yes, it’s a marathon, not a sprint.
Yes, it’s still WAY too early to be declaring “this is a statement game”.
And, yes, there’s a big difference between Joe Flacco playing in Baltimore and in Pittsburgh.
But, ask yourself this:
If you’re watching on Monday night and it’s 19-6 Ravens with five and a half minutes to go and Haloti Ngata stops Willie Parker on 4th and 3 to give the Ravens the ball back, where else – but at Heinz Field soaking it all in – would you rather be?
You can watch the game from the friendly confines of your couch if you like.
But I think you should be on that bus with us next Monday afternoon.
Who’s in?
These chances don’t come along too often.
Monday night – in Pittsburgh – with the chance to slap them around a little bit and savor a road win in a building where they don’t come too often.
Oh, we might even do a little heckling as well. Not much. Just a little.
Who’s in?
I am.
