Live From Owings Mills: Harbaugh says “No Way” McGahee will be traded

October 18, 2010 | Glenn Clark

Should Reed or Ayanbadejo not be activated before Sunday’s game, the Ravens would have an additional two weeks to make a roster decision with a Week 8 bye looming.

With Reed and Ayanbadejo poised to return, Harbaugh was again asked about the status of OT Jared Gaither (back), who has missed the first six weeks of the season. Harbaugh said that Gaither told him this weekend his status was “unchanged.” Harbaugh admitted that Gaither’s status is “going to be part of the equation” as the team faces difficult roster decisions.

Harbaugh defended the Ravens’ late game offensive play-calling, saying “if you understand the coverage that they’re playing, we had good plays called. We had downfield routes called against it, the checkdown is always really good against that if the downfield routes don’t express themselves, and we had runs called against it which you like against a three man rush. I don’t think there was anything conservative about it.”
