Live From Owings Mills: Stallworth Returns to Practice

OWINGS MILLS, Md. — The Baltimore Ravens (4-2) returned to work Thursday at 1 Winning Drive, continuing preparations for Sunday’s battle with the Buffalo Bills (0-5) at M&T Bank Stadium.

WR Donte’ Stallworth returned to practice Thursday for the first time since breaking his foot in an Aug. 28 preseason game against the New York Giants. Stallworth has already been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Bills-but could return following the bye in time to face the Miami Dolphins Week 9. Stallworth is expected to be involved both at receiver and at punt returner.

TE Todd Heap (neck) also returned to practice Thursday after missing Wednesday, he was listed as a limited participant. Also listed as limited was WR Marcus Smith (back). S Tom Zbikowski (foot) missed a second straight day of practice. OL Tony Moll (eye) did not participate in practice Thursday either.

FB Le’Ron McClain did not appear as though he would face contact Thursday, he dealt with knee and shoulder injuries last week but was not listed on Thursday’s injury report. Listed as full participants Thursday were LB Jarret Johnson (back), LB Edgar Jones (thigh), DE Paul Kruger (knee), WR Derrick Mason (ankle/finger), S Haruki Nakamura (back), RB Ray Rice (ankle) and CB Josh Wilson (thigh).

OT Jared Gaither (back) and LB Tavares Gooden (shoulder) have also been ruled out for Sunday’s game, neither player was on the field Thursday.

For the Bills, OT Cornell Green (knee), CB Terrence McGee (back) and NT Kyle Williams (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday. LB’s Keith Ellison (knee) and Arthur Moats (elbow) were limited participants while TE Shawn Nelson (groin) and S Bryan Scott (knee) were full participants.
