Ravens’ preseason schedule dates and times finalized

The NFL released its 2013 preseason schedule earlier this month and will feature a nationally-televised preseason game for the Super Bowl XLVII champion Ravens.

Game dates and times were finalized on Tuesday.

Baltimore will host the Carolina Panthers at M&T Bank Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 22, a game that will be shown on ESPN at 8 p.m. The Ravens will also play a home game against the Atlanta Falcons in the second week of the preseason on Aug. 15.

Coach John Harbaugh will take his team to Tampa Bay for the opener on Aug. 8. The Ravens have never played the Buccaneers in the preseason and have made only one trip to Tampa in regular-season history, a win in the 2006 season opener.

The Ravens will conclude the 2013 preseason with a road game against the St. Louis Rams, which is set to be played on Thursday, Aug. 29.

In the Harbaugh era beginning in 2008, the Ravens have compiled a 13-7 record in the preseason. Baltimore has a 40-27 all-time preseason mark. In their history, the Ravens are 6-3 vs. Atlanta, 4-1 against Carolina, and 0-3 against St. Louis in preseason affairs.
