No overlooking Bengals here

November 26, 2008 |

Despite the Bengals being 1-9-1, the Ravens are not overlooking them on Sunday. Several of the players today pointed out that this is still a dangerous team simply by the fact that they have Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh at the wide receiver position.

Here are some other highlights from the Ravens media session today:

– Several of the defensive players talked about how Ryan Fitzpatrick gets out of the pocket more than Carson Palmer, and will do so not only to throw, but can tuck the ball down and run with it.

-On the injury front, Adam Terry, Willie Anderson, and Jared Gaither, will all be listed as day to day and the Ravens will have to see how they progress through the week. They are hoping that they do not suffer any setbacks leading into Sunday.

-A lot of the talk today was about Willie Anderson and him facing his former team. Willie was inactive for the week 1 match up between the Bengals and the Ravens. T.J. Houshmandzadeh during his conference call today said that he still talks to Anderson, as recently as last night, and that they miss Anderson on the Bengals. Anderson said he has enjoyed being with the Ravens, and made the right choice in picking them over going to the San Diego Chargers. Houshmandzadeh even talked about how Anderson has told him all of the good things about being a part of the Ravens organization.

My opinion is that Houshmandzadeh would be a great pick up for the Ravens in the off season.

– The Ravens will have a practice tomorrow, then have the afternoon off to spend time with their families. They will return to work early Friday morning to finish preparing for the Bengals.
