Ravens-Panthers Purple Haze Chat Tonight at 8!

BALTIMORE – Greetings from a (now) sunny M&T Bank Stadium; where the Baltimore Ravens will open their exhibition season with a nationally televised (ESPN) contest against the Carolina Panthers.

The Ravens will unveil a new offensive attack; as they traded for Pro Bowl WR Anquan Boldin and signed troubled free agent WR Donte’ Stallworth. They also drafted TE’s Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta to bolster their attack.

The Panthers are hoping to grow under starting QB Matt Moore; but former Notre Dame star Jimmy Clausen is waiting in the wings and fans in Charlotte are looking forward to seeing him make his NFL debut tonight.

The Ravens will be without a number of players tonight who are either on the PUP list or inactive for the game:

S Ed Reed (PUP-Hip)
CB Lardarius Webb (PUP-Knee)
CB Chris Carr (hamstring)
CB Marcus Paschal (leg)
CB Fabian Washington (knee-precaution)
RB Matt Lawrence (PUP-knee)
S KJ Gerard (hamstring)
LB Brendon Ayanbadejo (PUP-quads)
OT Jared Gaither (back)
OL Tony Moll (concussion)

Oniel Cousins will start for Gaither, Tom Zbikowski for Reed, Cary Williams & Travis Fisher for Chris Carr & Fabian Washington.

The Panthers will also be without a number of players:
