WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Baltimore Ravens have traded QB John Beck to the Washington Redskins for 2nd year CB Doug Dutch.

Dutch is a native of Hyattsville and graduated from Gonzaga College High School in DC before attending the University of Michigan. He played in 1 preseason game with the Skins last season before being released during final cuts. He then tried out for the Las Vegas Locomotives of the UFL before being cut by them as well. He spent the later part of the 2009 season on the Redskins’ practice squad.

Dutch is a 5’11” corner who weighs in at 205 pounds. He will compete for a roster spot with Walt Harris, Travis Fisher, Cary Williams and Prince Miller behind players like Fabian Washington, Lardarius Webb and Chris Carr. The Ravens needed CB depth after losing Domonique Foxworth for the season with a torn ACL.

Trading Beck leaves the Ravens with Marc Bulger and Troy Smith backing up starting QB Joe Flacco.
