Report: Ravens WR Jones injured in party bus brawl

It’s rarely good to be the subject of a TMZ headline, but the Ravens and wide receiver Jacoby Jones found themselves in that position on Monday.

According to the website, Jones was injured when a brawl erupted on a party bus early Monday morning that included Ravens teammates celebrating left tackle Bryant McKinnie’s birthday. The Pro Bowl return specialist was allegedly hit in the head with a bottle but was not taken to the hospital.

The fight started at approximately 3 a.m. as people were leaving Opera Ultra Lounge in Washington, D.C., and Jones was “bleeding everywhere” after an exotic dancer named “Sweet Pea” hit him with a bottle, according to a TMZ source.

Police reportedly responded to the scene, but no arrests were made.

The Ravens posted the following statement on their official Twitter account Monday afternoon:

“WR Jacoby Jones is in the building today, has attended meetings and gone through his usual rehab.”

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh will address the media on Monday for his weekly press conference, but it remains to be seen whether the coach will offer any comment on the TMZ report.

If no laws were broken, there were no arrests/charges, and no one was hurt due to from the action of a Ravens player, then who the f*$% cares? Grown adults partying and having fun, had a little too much to drink, and got in a little altercation. The world must be coming to an end (sarcasm of course). Sounds like quite a few of the fans I see during pre-game tailgating. God forbid if a Ravens player (who are human beings btw) does something like that. Stuff like that has been happening for thousands of years ever since we evolving into human beings.

Let’s get back to talking about the good win from this weekend and what the rest of the season will be like.
