Who gets your game ball this week? You could easily pick three or four legitimate game MVPs for the Ravens.
Joe Flacco had his best game as a professional football player, passing with outstanding accurracy (73.9%), amassing 232 passing yards, NO turnovers, and a touchdown pass to (gasp!) a wide receiver. All good enough for a 120.2 quarterback rating.
Willis McGahee finally got in gear, rushing for 105 yards on 19 carries and a touchdown. I’m still a bit concerned about his injury status. He looks explosive running north and south, but as soon as he’s forced to make a cut it seems like he slows down. Regardless, he looked much better this week.
Ray Lewis continued his All-Pro season against Miami, leading the team in tackles with 10, including 9 solo stops.
Derrick Mason continues to demonstrate that he is a very good possession receiver. Since 2001, only Chad Johnson and Tory Holt have more receptions. Mason snagged 6 balls yesterday, including a touchdown and a 23 yard scamper.
All good choices, but my game ball this week goes to Terrell Suggs: 7 solo tackles, a sack, and an interception return for a touchdown that set the tone for the remainder of the game.
