10. Anita Nall, swimming

Born in Harrisburg, Pa. before moving to Towson as a girl, Nall was a 16-year-old hero of the 1992 Summer Games in Barcelona, earning gold, silver, and bronze medals for the United States.

Specializing in the breaststroke in the 1992 Olympics, Nall took the silver in the 100-meter breaststroke and the bronze in the 200-meter breaststroke while earning gold as a member of the 400-meter medley relay team. The Towson Catholic graduate became the youngest American gold medalist in swimming since 1976 and went on to earn a bronze in the same event four years later at the world championships before retiring from competitive swimming in 2000.

    Another name for consideration would be Larry Surock. Baltimore Native, Patterson High Grad, UB All American and member of the 1952 US Olympic Soccer Team.
    He is in the UB Athletic Hall of Fame and the MD Soccer Hall of Fame.
    He should at least be mentioned with this group.
