Let me try to break the 2013 Baltimore Ravens down … game by game …
Week 1 – September 5, 2013 – @ Denver Broncos – W
This season opener is not going to be an easy game by any stretch of the imagination. Last season, the Ravens pulled off the “Mile High Miracle” and I think we can win it again at Sports Authority Field. Dan Koppen (center) replaced J.D. Walton last season after Walton went out with a season ending ankle injury and the Broncos did not bring Koppen back for the 2013 season. I personally believe that this was one of the worst moves made by Broncos this offseason. Jack Del Rio has a lot of options on the defensive side of the ball, that were not available last season. The Ravens offense can (and will) be ridiculously awesome in 2013. Flacco will connect with Torrey Smith for a big play (or two) during our season opener. We WILL be victorious.
Week 2 – September 15, 2013 – Cleveland Browns – W
Our home opener… Although the Browns may surprise people this season, they are most definitely not prepared for black and purple. We win this game but it will be closer than anyone expects.
Week 3 – September 22, 2013 – Houston Texans – L
Welcome back, Ed Reed. That defense is going to be spectacular in 2013. Fortunately, this will be one of our few losses on the year. This will also be a close game, so close in fact that we may have our first overtime in 2013. We lose this one by a field goal.
Week 4 – September 29, 2013 – @ Buffalo Bills – W
Need I say more?!
Week 5 – October 6, 2013 – @ Miami Dolphins – W
Miami is hot! (The city and the Dolphins) Another close game and this match-up will prove two things…First, Reggie Bush will prove to have not been that big of a factor when it comes to their offense and second, Ellerbe will be a “joke” during this game. Mark my words… We win!
Week 6 – October 13, 2013 – Green Bay Packers – W
We are back home after two games on the road. The Packers wide receivers will not get enough room when our secondary is on their heels. Their defense is not like it was a few years back and our offense is going to be on fire! This one could very well be our second overtime game of the season…. Regardless, we win by 6.
Week 7 – October 20, 2013 – @ Pittsburgh Steelers – L
Heinz Field is a tough place to be victorious as a visiting team… We have done it… This time, we fall short. The Steelers win by 3. Have no fear, we play them again this season.
Week 8 – BYE
Week 9 – November 3, 2013 – @ Cleveland Browns – W
Fresh off our BYE week, this game will not be nearly as close as the first. We will sweep the Browns in 2013.
Week 10 – November 10, 2013 – Cincinnati Bengals – W
The Baltimore Ravens are deadly at home. This will be no different. Headed to Chicago the following week, we will be 8-2.
Week 11 – November 17, 2013 – @ Chicago Bears – L
The Bears should not be underestimated. They have a very good team this year. A key turnover will cost us this close game.
Week 12 – November 24, 2013 – New York Jets – W
The New York Jets will have the #1 draft pick in 2014….Period. and we’re on to the next!
Week 13 – November 28, 2013 – Pittsburgh Steelers – W
At home, against our biggest rivals… we will come out on top. Ben Roethlisberger is getting old and our defense is going to get at him. A few turnovers result in the Ravens beating the brakes off the Pittsburgh Steelers. (and the crowd goes wild!!)
Week 14 – December 8, 2013 – Minnesota Vikings – W
Adrian Peterson will run for less than 100 yards against our defense. Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce will show up big in this match-up. We leave the field 11-3… and we are headed to Detroit.
Week 15 – December 16, 2013 – @ Detroit Lions – W
Megatron is a monster…. that is about all they have going for them… Black and Purple are victorious once again!!
Week 16 – December 22, 2013 – New England Patriots – W
We are going to pull out a tough win against the Patriots. Once again, we are at home, and teams do not like to play us in our house. Brady lost Welker, Lloyd, Hernandez, and Gronk is questionable. We win by a touchdown.
Week 17 – December 29, 2013 – @ Cincinnati Bengals – L
We will be resting our starters and will barely lose our last regular season game in Cincinnati. Post-season, here we come!!!!
All in all, Ravens Nation will be proud of our World Champions. We will finish our season 12-4.
SUPERBOWL XLVIII will be played in the snow at the Meadowlands. Ravens VS 49ers. The re-match. Colder climate. Better electrical supply.
I smell a “repeat” !!!!
