A Few Things

This week’s matchup between the Patriots and Colts is being billed as the biggest regular season game ever. Who do you root for in this one? How about a scoreless tie? Yeah right!!!
All of a sudden A-Rod isn’t a team player. He isn’t a clubhouse guy. He isn’t clutch. Guess I am the idiot because he can play 3rd base for my team anytime.
How long before the Orioles start making some moves? I don’t care what the moves are but obviously something has to be done. Start now. The Tigers already went out and got Edgar Renteria from the Braves. Orioles get to work!
I was on vacation last week and the first thing that I heard when I got back was that Ray Lewis called Brian Billick out. Not the first time that happened and probably won’t be the last. I don’t like guys calling people out in the media. That says a lot about someone’s character. How soon Ray forgets. Brian flew to Atlanta and stood by Ray’s side when he was charged with murder. Brian has NEVER called any of his players out and I think that says a lot about Brian’s character.

A Few Things

Don’t look now but Nick Markakis is batting .290 / 22 HRs / 109 RBI / 43 Doubles. That’s some pretty good numbers for a second year player on the worst team in baseball.

I was watching the Orioles game last night hoping to get a glimpse of the Free The Birds crew up in 388. I guess MASN got the word from above to avoid the real loud Oriole fans up in 388. It was pretty funny watching the game because the 125 people that showed up for Free The Birds were really loud and they were bleeding through on the TV broadcast. Amazing that The Orioles organization would go out of the way to avoid real fans that are cheering the hometown team but that’s the way the Orioles are. Sad! That’s why I didn’t attend a game this year.

I can’t believe the amount of phone calls that we get at WNST about how bad the Ravens are. How Billick can’t coach. How Boller sucks after he helped win the game for the Ravens. Check out the Bears, Chargers, and Rams. The tide turns quick in the NFL and the Ravens organization always manages to put a competitive team out on the field. I think us fans are pretty lucky to have guys like Ozzie, Billick, DeCosta, etc…

It’s funny sitting here watching Bob Haynie interview Gary Williams on WNST. Haynie has interviewed Gary around 100 times and still looks like a kid on Christmas.

I hate fantasy football. We are headed into week 4 and obviously I haven’t won a game yet. I have Deuce McAllister (looks like he is done for the year), Sean Alexander (broken wrist), Hines Ward (injured knee), and Vince Young (hurt his wrist last night). I hate it!!! I have better stuff to do with my time. Like watch detective shows on A&E or Iron Chef on the Food Network.
