Adam Jones wins Gold Glove

November 10, 2009 | Drew Forrester

O’s outfielder Adam Jones won a Gold Glove today.

You can rest assured it will be the first of many for our rock-star centerfielder.

I feel sorry for Nick Markakis.  He should have won a GG also.

I guess when your team is in rebuilding mode, you can’t expect much in the way of individual accomplishments, but it sure is great to see Jones getting the recognition he so richly deserves.

Don’t look now, but it’s starting to look a little bit like “the old days” at the ballpark.  You go ahead and tell me Adam Jones doesn’t remind you of a guy named Paul Blair.  Just what I thought…you can’t.

Congrats to our hometown hero, Adam Jones.
