And in New York today…

December 18, 2008 | Drew Forrester

While we wait on the edge of our seats to find out if Mark Teixeira is going to grace us with his presence for the next decade, the Yankees were busy showing off their two prized off-season acquisitions (so far) today in New York.

You can go here to see the footage for yourself, as both C.C. Sabathia and A.J. Burnett put on their Yankees jersey for the first time.

Do yourself a favor.  Watch the highlight package on ESPN.com.

I did.

It makes you sick.

Then again, what did we all expect the Yankees to do in the off-season?

Sit back and trim their payroll and not try to get better?

Hardly.

Go ahead and watch the video — and dream a little that someday we might see high-priced, prize off-season acquisitions pulling an Orioles jersey over their head.
