Babies Don’t Belong At Sporting Events

August 29, 2010 | Marty Mossa

There’s nothing that bothers me more when I see people bring babies to sporting events.  At last night’s Raven’s preseason game I saw at least five couple marching in with a little ones.  One woman had a baby that couldn’t have been more than three months old.

I remember a Monday Night Game in December 2005 where the Ravens played the Packers.  Green Bay brought their weather with them.  It was fidget night that December evening.  Some Packer’s fan had a child with him a child no more than two years old.  The poor kid was miserable.  People are you that selfish that you are willing to jeopardize your child’s safety and health because you can’t get a baby sitter?

In my humble opinion, no child under three years old belongs at a sporting event.  The noise, language and other activities could hurt them.  All I could I think of when I saw that three month old was this “what if his mother trips climbing the steps?  Come on people have some common sense!
