Blast Loss Could Be Victory In The End

April 06, 2008 |

The Detroit Ignition outscored the Blast last night in the second half by a 14-10 margin and surrendered a sixth attacker score with just over 1 minute left to lose 22-21. Now the post season schedule looks like this.

Thursday the 10th vs New Jersey. Next weekend @ New Jersey TBD Sunday by New Jersey and their Arena.

If the Blast wins they face 2nd seed Milwaukee, first at home on Wednesday the 16th at First Mariner then they would travel to Milwaukee on Sunday the 20th.

Given the Blast record vs Detroit the past two years and the bad ending to this game tonight I would think the Wave are a better second round draw. Right now they have to have Zero confidence facing Detroit.

One other note. As I first reported two weeks ago the California Cougars will be exiting the MISL to play in the new indoor league (PASL) starting in the fall of 2008. They have placed a $25,000 deposit to play in the more regional indoor league. The name will be the Stockton Cougars and the business model is more friendly to the current owner.
