Blast TV News…

February 02, 2008 |

For those of you that don’t know (and more importantly, those of you who do), the Baltimore Blast is 10-7 after a huge win over the Chicago Storm last night.  The Blast is on a four-game winning streak heading into tonight’s match against the Orlando Sharks (3-16) at 7:35 p.m. at 1st Mariner Arena.  Tonight’s match features the two hottest teams in the MISL – the Blast, who are on a four-game winning streak, and the Sharks, who started the season 0-16, have won their last three games.  We’re expected a huge crowd tonight so if you don’t have your tickets yet, get to the Arena early!

Tonight’s game (as well as the Blast’s February 16th game) will be televised live on Maryland Public Television’s Select (digital) channel.  For everyone who tuned into MPT last weekend and couldn’t find the game – here’s all the info you need to watch tonight’s game:
· The game will be televised on MPT Select – that’s channel 200 for everyone who has Comcast Digital Cable and channel 880 for those of you with Verizon FIOS TV.
· The game might not be listed on the digital cable guide, but don’t worry, it will be televised.

For anyone who turned on Fox Soccer Channel last night hoping to see the Blast vs. Storm game – it will be shown on FSC Friday, February 8th at 8 p.m.  If you weren’t at 1st Mariner Arena last night to see the game in person – tune into FSC Friday night – it was a great game.

After tonight the Blast has just 12 games left, only four of which will be played at 1st Mariner Arena.  Blast fans, old and new, won’t want to miss the home game on February 16th – it’s Hall of Fame night – and two former Blast legends will be inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame.  We all know it’s a huge sports weekend – kick it off by coming to 1st Mariner Arena tonight to see the Blast take on the Orlando Sharks!

Tomorrow we can all enjoy Tom Brady.
