Caps stunned on and off ice

December 29, 2009 |

After finding out that the team had traded captain Chris Clark and D Milan Jurcina. The Washington Capitals get stunned on ice by a woeful divison foe in the Carolina Hurricanes. Poor power play production and more useless penalty’s cause the caps the game and a crushing 6-3 loss. Jose Theodore made a return to net last night and looked flat and lost at times, as well as the rest of the team. The caps need to remember this is not the Ovechkin, Backstrom, and Green show, and the rest of the team needs to play as well. In turn the forementioned players also need to know its a team game and not all on them. The caps now head west against San Jose and LA. Lets hope they can get a few solid wins out west again, as the last western road trip had the caps finish 2-1 against Colorado,Vancouver and Edmenton.
