Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate the special women who have touched our lives by showing appreciation for all they have done.
This year, instead of giving flowers or candy, give hope for a future without cancer – there is no better gift. …
I know this because my mother , Sylvia Badger was diagnosed with stage four Ovarian cancer last summer.
This Mother’s Day, I invite you to honor and remember all the special women in your life by giving a donation to your American Cancer Society.
Go to www.cancer.org and make a donation.
When you make your gift online , they will send an embossed personalized card, notifying the one honored or loved ones of those remembered of your thoughtful contribution.
Because of you, my prayer is continuing to make progress every day!
Due to past advances we now have:
• Helped discover the use of mammography to screen for breast cancer
• Funded researchers who developed lifesaving breast cancer drugs, including Tamoxifen and Herceptin
• Supported the campaign that led to the widespread use of the Pap test to screen for cervical cancer
My hope is that in the next wave of advancement that the hidden monster-Ovarian Cancer will have made such strides.
Happy Mother’s Day!
