From 1 Winning Drive: Ravens news and notes

August 28, 2007 |

The Ravens got some good news today as Jonathan Ogden returned to practice for the first time. While it is good to see J.O. back on the field, do not expect to see him playing on Friday night when the Ravens play Atlanta. This morning when Ogden returned to the field he waived at the media and then Mike Flynn held up Ogden’s hand to make sure everyone saw him.

The Ravens made another roster move today as they placed running back P.J. Daniels on IR with a hamstring injury. P.J. suffered the injury during warm ups before the Redskins scrimmage game. Brian Billick said that he expects him to be ready to go in the off season.

Keydrick Vincent received the news this morning that he was being released by the Ravens after 2 seasons with the team. The Ravens have a good amount of depth at the guard position with: Jason Brown, Chris Chester, Ben Grubbs, Marshal Yanda, Chris Pino, and Brian Rimpf. Keydrick was a very funny guy and always was good for a laugh in the locker room.

Ed Reed (thigh), Mark Clayton (ankle), Samari Rolle (ankle), and Antwan Barnes (ankle), all did not practice today and are not expected to play on Friday night.

The Ravens will have a practice tomorrow then leave on Thursday for Atlanta.
