March 25, 2012 | Marty Mossa

And then there were four. The NCAA Frozen Four Tournament has dwindled from 16 to four teams. Ferris State University beat Denver Friday as Cornell beat Michigan. They then went on to beat Cornell Saturday night to earn a slot at the Frozen Four in Tampa Bay, Florida starting on Holy Thursday, April 5, 2012. Union College beat Michigan State on Friday as the University of Massachusetts/Lowell beat Miami of Ohio. Union beat UML Saturday to also earn a place in warm Tampa Bay, FL.

Minnesota beat Boston University and then North Dakota to earn a plane ticket to Tampa.  And finally Boston College beat Minnesota/Duluth Sunday to find a spot on the beach in Tampa.  So on April 5th Boston College will play the University of Minnesota and Union College will play Ferris for the right to fight for the national title on Saturday, April 7, 2012. The games on Thursday will be at 4:30 and 8pm. The championship game will be at 7pm on Saturday.  All games will be played at the Tampa Bay Times Forum and televised on ESPNU.
