Gettin’ whupped at Norbel…

December 08, 2008 | Drew Forrester

Thanks to WNST listener John Cobb (aka “John from Towson”) for setting up my visit to the Norbel School in Elkridge earlier today.

The Norbel School is a K-12 facility for children with autism and other related disorders.  The boy’s basketball team is just starting their season and they’re on the verge of getting their first win ever…I’m hoping it comes next week when I go watch them play!

I watched the boys practice for about 20 minutes today and then played “horse” with them (and I lost…that little guy Nathan can shoot!) and even mixed it up with a little 3-on-3.  We had a lot of fun.  Angus Cobb was the man in the 3-on-3 game!

We’ll be keeping track of The Norbel School during our 2-minute drive everyday on The Comcast Morning Show and I’ll be out to watch them play a game one day next week.

If Norbel shoots in the games like they did against me today, they’re gonna win soon, guaranteed!!

Good luck tomorrow guys!
