Nearly seven weeks have passed since writing the Baltimore Raven’s 2009 Season obituary. Many things have happened since then. Now with one regular season game left on the docket, the Purple Birds need only one more victory to secure a playoff spot. After the Colt’s debacle I didn’t think we had a snowball’s chance at postseason. If the Ravens win Sunday, I will make human history by retracting an obituary. I don’t think it’s ever been done. I also said I’d eat crow. How sweat the taste of being wrong would be. But first things first, we must beat Oakland.
The Raiders will not be any push over. They have been “giant” killers this year. They beat Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, and also beat the Bengals. Last year the Raiders went into Tampa Bay on the last Sunday. With nothing to play for, they knocked the Bucs out of the playoffs, and cost Jon Groden his job. Now we’re the “lucky” recipients of all his football “knowledge” every Monday Night. God I hope he gets another coaching gig again. Lets focus on Sunday’s match up and Sunday’s alone. We win, we’re in, we lose, it will be a long off season. GO RAVENS!!!!!
