Lone Star State Has Been Very Good To The Ravens

December 09, 2010 | Marty Mossa

A few weeks ago I wrote how the Carolina Panthers were the only NFL team the Ravens have failed to beat.  Well now that the Carolina monkey is off our back, let’s talk about two teams that have never beaten the Ravens.  The Baltimore Ravens are 3-0 vs the Houston Texans, and 3-0 against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Ravens beat the Texans in Houston in week 15 of the 2002 season by the score of  23-19.  Then in 2005 during week 13, the Ravens beat them 16-15 at M&T Bank Stadium.  The last time these two teams met was in Houston in 2008 and the Ravens won 41-13.

As for the Cowboys, the Ravens beat them at PSI Net Stadium on November 19th in week 12 of the 2000 season by a score of 27-0.  They again beat the Cowboys in 2004 here in Baltimore by the score of 30-10 in week 11.  Finally they helped the Cowboys close down the late great Texas Stadium on December 18, 2008 by beating them 33-24.

The Ravens are 6-0 against Texas teams.  They are 3-0 in the Lone Star State (2-0 Houston/1-0 Dallas), and 3-0 at home against Texas teams (2-0 Cowboys/1-0 Texans).  Let’s hope that streak contunes.  As well as we play against Texas teams, it would be nice if San Antonio had a team too.
