Offensive: Pat Healey, Baltimore Blast

Blast midfielder Pat Healey recorded 26 points in seven games in January as the Blast went 5-2 on the month. Healey, who leads the Blast and ranks fourth in the MISL with 43 points, scored at least one goal in six games and recorded at least one point in each game. The 2009 Rookie of the Year, Healey recorded nine two-point goals, eight assists and seven blocks in January and was named MISL Player of the Week on January 3 and 31.

Defensive: Pat Morris, Baltimore Blast

Blast defender Pat Morris recorded seven goals, three assists and 12 blocks in seven games in January. The 12-year veteran and two-time league Defender of the Year recorded at least one goal in each of the Blast’s last six games, including the game-winning goal in Baltimore’s 15-10 win over the Riot on the 30th. Morris, who was named First-Team All-MISL and Defender of the Month in January and February last season, ranks second on the Blast and ninth in the MISL with 25 points and second on the Blast and in the MISL with 22 blocks this season. Morris was also the MISL Defensive Player of the Month in November.

Goalkeepers: Jose Bontti, Omaha Vipers

Vipers goalkeeper Jose Bontti went 3-2 in January and started all six of Omaha’s games. Bontti, who made 118 saves in the six games, allowed 36 goals (74 points) for a 6.16 goals against average and a 12.69 points against average. He is 6-6 on the season, leads the MISL with a .766 save percentage and ranks third with an 11.27 points against average.

About the Major Indoor Soccer League

The MISL represents the Major League of professional indoor soccer in the United States and features the finest indoor soccer players from around the world. The league currently has five member clubs for the 2010-11 season: the Baltimore Blast, Chicago Riot, Milwaukee Wave, Missouri Comets and the Omaha Vipers. The 2010-11 regular season began on November 12 and will end on March 13. The postseason will begin the following week and conclude at the end of the month.
