The only news the Baltimore Orioles make nationally these days is bad news. Don’t believe me? Then check out this piece http://www.thenation.com/doc/20070910/zirin.
Here I always thought Peter Angelos was a champion for the working man and, by extension, labor unions.
Read the piece and draw your own conclusions.
Two things stand out: Peter Angelos failed to make good on a promise to the citizens of Baltimore, and there’s national rumors regarding a possible sale of the franchise to a group headed by Cal Ripken Jr.
Those of us who truly love the Baltimore Orioles can only pray that there’s some truth to that rumor. As shameful as the franchise’s on-field record has been for over a decade, it pales in comparison to the current ownership. All the news surrounding the Orioles is bad these days.
Who will save baseball in Baltimore?
