Nervous Energy

December 10, 2008 |

It’s Wednesday, and I’m experiencing that anxiety that goes along with preparing for a big game. Not only are the Ravens preparing to collide with their rivals, but this match-up versus the Steelers has so many other implications.

The Ravens, after zero pre-season expectations, are in position to claim the AFC North. This is the same division that many thought the Steelers and Browns would battle it out for. This is the same division in which many thought the Bengals would be the third best team.

That’s why I’m experiencing nevous energy. I’ve gone from, “happy to win seven games” to not being happy unless this team makes it to the play-offs. We’re already past seven wins. Anything less than a post-season ticket is unacceptable.
