PGA Tour commish says Tiger going back to rehab

February 19, 2010 | Drew Forrester

If the overnight leaks and whispers are right, Tiger Woods – contrary to what I thought – isn’t playing golf next week in Scottsdale.

He’s going back to rehab.

What kind of rehab?

I have no idea.

But the Associated Press somehow obtained a letter that Tim Finchem dispensed to TOUR officials and committee members and it was there where Finchem noted Tiger “has to hold his press conference on Friday” because he’s only home for a short period of time…before returning to rehab.

So there you have it.

Maybe.

We’ll know today at 11am when Woods holds his “event” at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedre Beach, FL.

One thing that’s almost certain.  At some point in the near future, Woods will be playing golf again.  He’s been photographed both jogging and hitting golf balls in the last two days and word from Orlando is that he’s told close friends he’s making his return at The Tavistock Cup in late March before heading to Augusta for The Masters in early April.
