Best Bet, Yankee Master (# 3; 9th race; 6-1) was in contention throughout the race, but when it was time to run, he didn’t have anything left and finished 4th at 5-1, about 4 lengths behind the winner. The FIVE consecutive Best Bet winners streak is history.
Longshot, Ziggly (# 4; 3rd race; 8-1) ran an excellent race, getting beat by only a neck at 5-1, paying $5.20 for PLACE and $4.60 to SHOW.
Here’s what I like for the Day 8 (Apr. 27th) of the Pimlico Spring Meet…

She starts for a smart trainer (Howard Wolfendale) who has a high win percentage. Even though she takes a drop in class that isn’t warranted, we’ll go with her here.
SHOW Parlay available bankroll: $40.20
This 8 year old has shown a liking for the Pimlico turf (in the money 9 of 12 starts) over his career. The trainer has two starters on the card today. Both are in turf races but only contracted (jockey) Karamanos for this one which is a huge edge.
Good Luck with your selections today!
