Quinn Sypniewski injured at practice…

April 18, 2008 | Nestor Aparicio

The players have all spoken out about the major differences between Camp Harbaugh and Camp Billick.

Almost every returning player has cited the “intensity” increase.

Today, the hard practices claimed a victim.

Third-year tight end Quinn Sypniewski collided with Antwan Barnes across the middle on a passing play and got tangled up.

Both players went down. Barnes got up. Sypniewski left the field on a cart with what could be a severe knee injury.

The players are doing “two-a-day” practices in new coach John Harbaugh’s system and are working in “shell” equipment.

Light contact is expected, but certainly this is not what Harbaugh was looking for during his first 48 hours on the field.

We’ll keep you updated as we get more information on Sypniewski.
