Ravens beat Manningless Colts

December 17, 2011 | Michael Schwartz

The Ravens beat the Colts to move to 10-3 and are second in the AFC. They won the game by playing great defense and having a good, balanced offense. The defense allowed 10 points on the day but 7 were on the last play of the game. Terrell Suggs wasn’t in the game and he had three sacks and three forced fumbles in this game. He had a career game and has a chance to be the defensive player of the week.

Joe Flacco played great on offense. He made some great throws and he kept the Ravens offense on the field. The Ravens ran the ball with Ray Rice 26 times and he had 103 yards plus another six receptions for 46 yards. Rice now leads the NFL in total yards from scrimmage. He is having a great year and will likely be a pro bowler. Anquan Boldin now has over 700 career receptions and is still playing at the top of his game, which helps Flacco.

The Ravens have a tough game against the Chargers next Sunday night in San Diego. The Chargers are getting back to their high powered offensive attack, but they go against a very good Ravens defense. The Ravens lead the NFL in sacks and are top five in most categories. I think that the Ravens will be a very big threat in the playoffs and they basically clinched by winning this game.
