Ray Lewis speaks: Hear it Friday morning

January 29, 2009 | Drew Forrester

So, we were wrapping up another day of live coverage from Super Bowl 43 in Tampa this evening just before 6pm.

Ray Lewis was doing a segment with NFL Network directly in front of us.  He finished with them and was chatting with Deion Sanders when Nestor approached him and asked if he could give us a few minutes for “the fans back in Baltimore.”

With that, Ray gave Deion a hug and sat down with Nestor and I.

It was an amazing 15 minute look into the current life and times of Ray Lewis.

You’ll be able to hear it tomorrow morning at 7:30 am on WNST and check out the video portion right after that on WNST.net (via WNSTv).

Ray talks about EVERYTHING.  His contractual status, his pending free agency, his love for Baltimore and the franchise, the ’08 season, Joe Flacco…#52 covered it all.

He didn’t dodge one question we asked – and there weren’t very many softballs.

It was a candid, unique quarter-hour with the greatest player in Ravens history.

We’ll have it for you tomorrow at 7:30 am and again throughout the day.

Ray Lewis doesn’t speak publicly much – trust me, this is worth hearing.
