Sweet Sixteen for Lady Terps

March 26, 2008 |

The Maryland Women’s Basketball Team received strong performances from Marissa Coleman (19 pts), Kristi Toliver (19 pts) and Crystal Langhorne (18 pts and 12 rbs) last night to beat a tough Lady Cornhuskers team 76-64.

Making it past the second round has been the problem for the Lady Terps in the past. The Lady Terps have only made it past the second round once in the past 7 seasons. That one just happened to be the 2006 National Championship season.

Maryland (32-3) goes to the Sweet Sixteen to face 4th seeded Vanderbilt (25-8) on Saturday. Now that they have past the second round let’s see how far they will go!!
