Tejada can be a star again in Baltimore

A week or so ago, Miguel Tejada told the press that the O’s could get going and beat the Yankees and Red Sox. Last night, he lived up to his words, smashing a game-tying home run and later the game winning hit, showing that not only can he still talk a great game but he can still play one.

People have been asking for a leader for this team and I think we see who it is. It’s not Trembley or Jones or Markakis, and perhaps rightly so. It is a veteran who we all know, one who has passion for the game, pride in what he does, and can still play very, very well.

I always liked Miggy and was unhappy when the whole “B12” episode happened. But putting that aside, Miguel Tejada has always been a great player, one that you want on your team. Now I see a guy who is taking the lead of this team, and I hope he continues to do it. I think he is the right guy to lead this team. I don’t think the Orioles are as bad as their record says. You are as good as you play, and I think the O’s can still put together a season to be proud of.
